Born in Brooklyn, raised in Los Angeles. Since 1990 I have been a photojournalist for various motorcycle magazines, mostly with Paisano Publications. They publish Easy Riders, Biker, In the Wind, VQ, V-Twin and other magazines catering to the motorcycle and hot rod enthusiast.

These new pictures include shots of Gov’t Mule, Grateful Dead bassist, Phil Lesh & Friends, Jorma Koukenen of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, along with updates to my Fine Art, Landscapes & Travel, Film & TV and of course, pictures of my “pet” Timberwolf Hybrids.

Welcome Star & Silver into the family! Two Timberwolf cubs born on October 27, 2013. Picked up from a breeder six-weeks old to the day. They are a trip and Brutus has regained his nutty ways and quick step at the dog park. Follow them via this site.

Welcome to fluke fotography

If you had to say smile, you missed the shot

The colors that make up the spectrum are everywhere. In front of you, behind you, above you and to your left. They occupy every nook and cranny of open space and are just waiting to be discovered. I refer to it as “trying to capture the psychedelic motion of light.” With the right colors, right light, right camera, right lens, 3000 clicks… and a whole lotta luck…sometimes, there’s a “fluke,” and the magic works. These “flukes,” can never be repeated. To use colors and light are to use the things that attracted our attention as babies. Beautiful things. Still to be enjoyed. You are NEVER too old to be young.
